Little Owls Daycare and Preschool offers high quality traditional preschool along with many hands-on activities. Early intervention is an important step in any child’s development. Our teaching team has many years of experience in providing high quality play and curriculum-based learning opportunities to maximize each child’s potential. Children’s Therapy Services can provide highly qualified therapist and therapist assistance to screen your child with in week or two upon admission to LODP for things such a speech and language development, occupational therapy (behaviors, fine motor skills etc) and physical therapy such as gross motor development skills. We want to insure each child achieves developmental milestones with strong outcomes including social skills, communication and motor skills and support children of all developmental needs.
Early intervention provides children and their families the services needed during the very early years of development.
Little Owls Daycare and Preschools wants to promote a lifelong love of learning and to properly support the individual learning styles of each child. When implementing many types of learning, we have the ability to increase your child’s curiosity and interest in learning throughout their life. Your child will be prepared for kindergarten by being able to write their name, the letters of the alphabet and numbers. Being able to identify simple geometrical shape, colors and sight words. Literacy, math/science, creative and hands-on learning opportunities are provided for each child daily to assist in supporting development on all levels.
Little Owl’s child development center offers activities to assist the children in meeting child development milestones. We also provide play based learning as each child continues learning throughout their day. We learn through music, movement, sensory activities, art, creative expression, dramatic play, peer learning and one on one activities with teaching staff.
Little Owl’s provides sensory activities to assist each child’s development. Playdoh, clay, shaving cream and finger paint for tactile sensory and fine motor development. Indoor and Outdoor gross motor activities to help in development of coordination, sportsmanship, team work and self-confidence. Art and dramatic play is offered to develop each child sense of self, imagination, problem solving and creativity. Math and science activities include make your own snack, sorting, counting and patterning activities.
Under special circumstances, a doctor’s order, and parental consent, children may be seen for specialized child therapy services. We accomplish this by partnering a qualified therapist, experienced and certified teaching staff and parents to help each child develop to his or her full potential.
2 – 6 years
Music and movement activities are offered daily as music is an important teacher. Couples music with therapy to help your child develop gross motor regulation and language skills. By incorporating educational moments and hands-on learning, we can work together on social skills, strengthening and endurance with activities, handling/positioning, or a combination of each

Little explorers is implemented as your child becomes vertical, a world of wonder is revealed. Now your child is on the move and climbing on everything in sight. Play environments encourage discovery, problem solving, balance and coordination as infants learn to interact and communicate with the world around them.
8 weeks to 22 months
Shake, rattle and roll time, explores the senses and supports visual and auditory development with tummy time. Your infant’s teacher will assist you as a parent to learn how to position your baby to build strength and develop stability. Infant staff will assist parents in learn about your child’s development. Infant activities will be offered by age and development appropriate level as to not over stimulate the infants.
